Adaptive Order Blocks & Breaker Blocks
Our first invite-only tool. Order blocks and breaker blocks with a full zone lifecycle — sweep handling, confirmed breaker conversion, and a complete historical record of every zone on your chart. Fewer zones, each one there for a reason.
What it does
- Selective order blocks — zones are created only at qualified market-structure events after multiple internal checks. Most candidates are rejected by design.
- Confirmed breaker blocks — a close through a zone is treated as a hypothesis, not a verdict. Breakers appear only when price behavior confirms the conversion; failed breakdowns can bring the original zone back, marked with a ★.
- Sweeps vs. true breaks — zones aren’t deleted by stop-hunt wicks, and aren’t kept alive forever either. A swept-and-held zone is marked ★ and its invalidation adapts.
- Validity span arrows — every zone shows exactly how long it has been valid; when validity ends, the arrow freezes at that bar.
- Historical study mode — every past zone stays on the chart, faded and frozen, so you can study how price behaved around each one. Best explored with TradingView’s Bar Replay.
Calibrated primarily for the 15-minute timeframe; works on higher timeframes with fewer zones. Applicable to crypto, stocks, and forex. The ★ marker describes past price behavior only — it is not a rating or a prediction.
How this differs from our free OB Detector
Our free Order Block Detector (200+ boosts on TradingView) is a focused zone-marking tool, and it stays free. The adaptive version adds what a single detection rule cannot: a full zone lifecycle. The differences below describe detection behaviour on the chart — not trading outcomes.
| Free OB Detector | Adaptive OB & Breakers | |
|---|---|---|
| Zone creation | One quality gate: a confirmed pivot break with a fair value gap at the anchor qualifies | Multiple stacked quality checks at qualified structure events — most candidate zones are rejected by design, so what remains is there for a reason |
| Structural anchoring | Zones anchor to swing-pivot breaks | Built-in change-of-character detection — zones anchor only to relevant, current structural shifts, and stale shifts expire instead of producing zones after the moment has passed |
| Zone invalidation | One-step: the first close through a zone (or wick touch, by setting) removes it permanently | Two-stage lifecycle: a close-through opens a pending question — failed breakouts reclaim the zone (marked ★), and only genuine acceptance beyond the level retires it |
| Stop-hunt sweeps | A deep sweep wick either erases the zone or is not distinguished from ordinary touches | Sweep-aware: zones survive stop-hunt wicks without becoming immortal — swept-and-held zones are marked and their invalidation adapts |
| Breaker blocks | Not detected | Confirmed conversion: a close-through is treated as a hypothesis — the breaker appears only after price behaviour confirms the flip, filtering out false breakers |
| How zones end | Zones die only by being broken | Zones also retire when spent — after delivering their reaction in full — keeping the chart free of stale levels that no longer mean anything |
| Historical study | Optionally keeps mitigated zones as faded boxes | Full lifecycle record: validity-span arrows show exactly how long every zone stayed relevant, and ghost mode preserves the complete history for bar-replay study |
Both tools mark historical structure descriptively. Neither produces trade recommendations, and detection behaviour does not indicate or assure any market outcome.

How this fits the site: the tool draws the structures our guides teach — Order Blocks and Liquidity & Fair Value Gaps — with a lifecycle engine our free indicators don’t have. The tools mark the structures; the guides teach how to read them. None of them produce trade recommendations.
